Emergency Food and Shelter Program, 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) – Humanitarian Relief

(Quarter 1-Application Period)

We are pleased to inform you that on March 11, 2021, the President signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law No: 117-2). Provisions of the law provide $110 million to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to help defray the costs that state and local service agencies (non-profit, faith-based, and governmental) incurred from January 1, 2021, through March 31, 2021, in providing shelter, food, and supportive services to families and individuals encountered by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Current or former EFSP participation is not required to apply.

Please submit local applications by Midnight on Friday, May 7, 2021, to RFP@changinghomelessness.org
