Built for Zero Our Progress

Built for Zero is on a mission to bring veteran homelessness in Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties down to a functional zero.

Community Solutions, the nonprofit leading the nationwide Built for Zero initiative, defines functional zero as:

At any point in time, the number of people experiencing homelessness in the community will be no greater than that community’s average monthly housing placement rate for those individuals.

For Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties, this number is 20.

We have set goals for our actively homeless population for the next several months until January 1st, 2020.
